Getting Here

The Firefly’s home, Camden, is a small seaside town in the Midcoast area, two hours north of Portland and two hours south of Bar Harbor.

Arriving by plane

There are no major airports in the Midcoast area. The closest airports are Portland International Jetport (PWM), Bangor International Airport (BGR), and Boston Logan International Jetport (BOS). There are several methods by which you can get from the airport to our dock:

The Concord Coach Lines Bus to Camden departs from Boston and Portland once per day. It is inexpensive, comfortable, and reliable.

The Sterling Elite Airport Shuttle offers both pre-scheduled shuttle services as well as private airport transfers to Portland and Bangor.

You may also consider flying to Rockland with Cape Air. Cape Air offers multiple flights a day from Boston to a small airport in Rockland, about 10 miles from Camden. You will need to take a taxi from there to our dock.

If you choose to rent a car at the airport and do not wish to keep the car for the duration of your trip, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Budget Car Rental both have offices in nearby towns. You will need to take a taxi from there to our dock.

Arriving by car

If approaching from the south, take I-95 north from the Boston area to Exit 44-I-295. Take I-295 to Exit 28–Bath Brunswick, Rte. 1. This coastal route will take you to Camden.

If traveling in peak season, you may wish to consider an alternate route to avoid traffic: take I-295 north to exit 49–Gardiner/Randolph. Take Route 201 to Gardiner; cross Kennebec River bridge to Randolph. Take Route 226 to Route 17 east to Route 90, West Rockport. Go east on 90 to US Route 1, Rockport, and take US Route 1 north to Camden.

Parking

Parking is included in the cost of your trip. We reserve spaces in the town lot a short walk from our dock. Directions will be given upon arrival.

Getting Around

Camden itself is a small and walkable town, with plenty of things to do. However, if you need to rent a taxi, we recommend:

! Tip ! There are virtually no Uber/Lyft drivers in this area. We do not recommend you try to use Uber or Lyft.
