Captain Alex Kelly
After finishing a completely irrelevant college degree, she settled in the Midcoast area to pursue sailing as a full time career. She worked on the Schooner Lewis R. French for two seasons, receiving her captain’s license in the meantime, and joined Nathan and Captain Becky Sigwright in their project rebuilding the Firefly (née Mistress) in 2025.

Captain Becky and Nathan Sigwright
Captain Becky and Nathan have operated the Schooner Lewis R. French together since 2022. The Firefly (née Mistress) was Captain Becky’s first command, but had been sold to private ownership in the intervening years. When Becky saw her for sale once again, she made the quick and bold decision to purchase her and try to return her to the windjamming trade.
